If you're driving, Sunshine Beach is just 140km north of Brisbane. From the M1, take the Eumundi turn off and follow the signs for Noosa. If driving down from the north on the Bruce Highway, turn off at Cooray and again follow the signs for Noosa.

Bus and coach services are provided by Greyhound Australia. These run all year round with various ongoing connections to Noosa; check timetables for up-to-date details. Rail connections are also available from Brisbane to Nambour and Cooray. Onward travel to Sunshine Beach from these stops are via Sunbus.

The Noosa area is famed for its rich heritage, and there are plenty of cultural adventures to be had when you visit Sunshine Beach. Noosa Regional Gallery, the largest of its kind in the area, features a range of contemporary art as well as temporary exhibitions from across the country.

For a lazy but inspiring afternoon, head to the Vintage Junction, where you can browse kitschy cafés and boutiques selling all manner of collectables. For a spot of evening entertainment, a visit to the Majestic Theatre is a must. This heritage-listed building is the sole remaining silent film theatre in the world!
