Holiday Rentals & Accommodation in Mykonos

The capital of Mykonos is one of the most cosmopolitan holiday resorts in all of Europe. Holidaymakers, backpackers and celebrities alike have been coming to the island for years. Mykonos is part of the Cyclades group of Greek islands, along with sister island, and competing holiday destination, Santorini. Pure white buildings, sandy beaches, Mykonos is where simplicity meets glamour - it is considered to be quite the paradise location.

About

Whether you’re after a party holiday or just a relaxing stay somewhere warm, Mykonos is the perfect place to soak in the sun, explore some beautiful scenery and learn about the island’s rich history. According to mythology, instead of being formed by a volcanic eruption, Mykonos was supposedly formed from the terrified bodies of giants killed by Hercules. The first known settlers on the island were the Ionians, who arrived in 9th Century BC. In 1980, the island was liberated and began to thrive again from tourism.
