The Hinkler Hall of Aviation tells the fascinating story of Bert Hinkler, Australia’s famous pioneer solo aviator. It is located next to the botanic gardens and is an interesting place to visit.

The Barrel, where you can find out how Bunderberg Ginger Beer is produced, is considered to be one of the top things to do in Bundaberg. There is also a bar where visitors can taste free samples of the soft drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Lady Musgrave Experience is a fun day trip for the whole family. Experience the Great Barrier Reef with a cruise onboard a luxury catamaran. The crew will give a commentary of the reef and there will also be time for snorkelling.

Take a stroll through the Bundaberg Botanic Gardens. The gardens are well presented and have a great variety of plants. There's also a Chinese-inspired garden with a pond.

Family holidays in Bundaberg

Kids will love Alexandra Park Zoo which is free to enter and home to many Australian animals as well as exotic species. There's also a small aquarium in the grounds. Older children will be interested in visiting Mon Repos, an educational experience where loggerhead turtles can be viewed nesting on the beach. Tours are available in the early evening. Don't forget to bring a torch.
